Intermittent Fasting
So, today is my first try at intermittent fasting. My goal is to get my diabetes under control and to get off all of the medications that I am currently taking.
Today, I am doing a water fast, but I did have coffee with creamer this morning. The protocol states that you can have coffee with half and half or heavy whipping cream. I didn't have either in the house, so I stuck with what I had. I am also beginning this while working because I want to stay busy so I don't get hungry.
For lunch, I plan to go for a walk.
I can do this!

Yesterday I went to the doctor. They weighed me. 298 pounds. Weight can oppress
ReplyDeleteyou. I'm finding it hard to get up from chairs, impossible to get up from floors, and a nightmare for sitting in restaurant booths. It's so easy for others to judge; much harder to understand that there are other reasons for excess weight besides self indulgence.
I definitely agree! It can be devastating. It is so cyclical because you don't feel great, therefore, exercising is probably the last thing on your mind, but if you don't, you won't feel better. And around and around it goes.
DeleteI have an LA Fitness membership that I have yet to take for a test drive. My roommate is as bad as I am. I don't think we're doing each other much good, in that respect.
DeleteI have a Planet Fitness membership that I have yet to use. It is silly, I am just being lazy. I know that once I get there, I feel great.
